Little Chestnut
A big warm hello to all of you, my name is Lauren and I'm the face and the hands behind Little Chestnut.
I have always loved being creative and I have been 'arty' ever since I can remember. My childhood was always full of making and creating new things.
I remember spending days at craft fayres and loved seeing all the different items the artisans had made. My mum was an Art teacher and also taught Interior Design classes in college; we were always redesigning and decorating the house together. The smell of fresh paint was my favourite smell!
I studied Art and Design at college and went on to complete a degree in Visual Art at university. I then spent close to a decade working primarily as a Visual Merchandising Specialist and Manager for a large global home furnishing retailer. I spent time planning and implementing my designs not just in the UK, but in many different locations as far flung as Australia! I now spend my days working from my custom-built studio, creating lots of lovely things right here at LCHQ!
I am a mum to two wonderful little boys and married to an amazing man who has supported this little dream of mine wholeheartedly. I’m a hippy at heart and love to spend time outdoors discovering nature together as a family; hence the name Little Chestnut.
I have a strong passion for beautiful, simple items and everything I sell is handcrafted with thought and care. I love personalising items for my customers, offering a bespoke, personal and trustworthy service.
